*******************

I celebrate my friends, strong women all
They shore me up when I’m down
Rejoice with me in my victories
Accept my shortcomings and foibles
Laugh at my silly jokes
Inspire me intellectually
Share the challenges of aging gracefully
They are the sisters I never had
Each special in her own way.

  10. Beautiful poem.... Let’s celebrate ourselves and others for what and who we are. Let’s be good enough, just as we are, and celebrate that!!There is so much wonder and abundance worth celebrating in this world, and we're all contributors. :)

  11. Friendships are so important. It took me into my middle years to really form close relationships with women. I think I spent my 20s in competition with other women--now my friendships grow more important with each passing year
